Power steering leak
I have a small leak on a seal on my power steering. Anyone know the name of this part? You can see the leak around the seal. I put ultraviolet fluid in there so I could easily spot the leak.
Can this be salvaged or do I need a new part? Again, the power steering works and its a slow leak. But would rather not pollute my driveway and dump new fluid in every week. My truck is a 67 c10 with a 305 if that matters. |

Re: Power steering leak
You have a ram cylinder steering assist. You can get the rebuild kits from the Truck Shop in Orange, CA. I converted mine to an integral power steering box. You have to find a different center/drag link as the ram assist center link will not work.

Re: Power steering leak
I too have a power steering leak but mine is a very fast leak. It leaks right behind where the belt is. How can I fix this?
