You know you're a college student when...
you're fixing your heater core in the parking lot outside your dorm in the rain. I just did and now have a heater again. I had to have the parts shipped from home to do this too. At least I didn't break anything like usual. And the sun came out as soon as I had the truck running. Figures, at least I have a heater now.

been there. I had to do a valve job on a FI 4 cyl in a foot of snow. tons of fun, but with 0 compression on 3 cylinders and 35PSI on the other, i wasn't going too far.

Lol....i live close enough to home that i just drive home and work on mine when it needs it. But i know i will be wrenching on it in the parking lot eventually. I bought a toolbox for the bed, and have everything i need to work on it in the truck 24/7

I had to replace a head on mine when in school. Did it in the parking lot too.

Yeah, I guess everyone has done it at one time. I also replaced my fuel pump at a gas station after coasting there off the highway. Those 35's were hard to steer without the motor running. I also had to repair my wiring harness today since one of those little fuse holders broke off flush at the end of the holder, good thing I had extras in the truck.

try bolting the carb back together after the screws holding the two halfs together come out in your high school parking lot in the rain
