Brakes

Doing a 64 with ridetech suspension. Kit came with CPP drop spindles. Does anyone know what aftermarket brakes will work with those spindles? I am using Capt fab's set up in the rear with 95 impala SS brakes. I would like to do the same for the front. I really can't afford the big name kits and i don't need anything fancy for my application

Thanks in advance, Joe

Re: Brakes

Go down to page 253. There are some Mustang II big brake kits. I think, but am not certain, that CPP uses an MII type spindle. Give them a call and see if this will work for you. http://www.classicperform.com/Catalo...Mustang-II.pdf

Re: Brakes

If they are CPP truck spindles, you can use any factory '73-'87 1.25" thick rotor setup (on later models this was the HD package, earlier were standard, no thin rotor option). This will make it 5 lug. With the spindles, you can use all factory, off the shelf parts.

Re: Brakes

Unless the spindles are their modular spindles, you are stuck with stock type C10 brakes. To be able to use the 1.25" thick rotors, they have the be the correct spindle to accomodate those.

Re: Brakes

Thanks a lot guys, I believe they are the modular spindles according to what I was told from ridetech and cpp. I am going with the 1 1/4 rotor off of a heavy half and see if it works.
