Driveshaft question

I'm about to do a LS1 swap on my 78 c10 short bed with a 4l60e. Now my question is what did some of you guys use for the driveshaft, was it the original trucks driveshaft, bought one new etc? Curious to know because I was told I would have to cut my trucks driveshaft in order to make it fit since the 4l60e is longer than my 350tranny. Thank you guys in advance

Re: Driveshaft question

Find you a good driveshaft shop..you will need to know what length it needs to be and I don't know if the the 4l60 yoke and the t350 yoke are the same.if they are different youll need that.I don't have any autos in my trucks so I'm not sure..I used my stock shaft and just had it shortened and rebalanced.
