Re: Chalet
I hate to see that one for sale, looks like so far it's been kept in great original condition and used like it was meant to be. Nice truck.

Re: Chalet
I missed that one completely, and the link no longer works. Anybody save any pics from the ad or the text from it?

Re: Chalet
I did not. It looked stock except for 15x10 aluminum wheels (Centerlines maybe) and 31x10.50 tires. The interior was well kept original with a minor tear or two and the pics appeared to show it camping around Colorado. The pop-up was extended in a few pics. Looked nice like it was garaged, but not mint. I believe the spare was still on the front. I know that doesn't help much, but just in case you've seen it and that jogs your memory or the pics come back up.

I'm trying to track every one still in existence, and the bit about the Centerline-style wheels is something unique that I haven't seen yet. Various others I know about have different kinds of aftermarket wheels, just not that style. **edit** Found a pic by putting the url for the Craigslist ad in a Google search, a guy had that link in his post at this other thread - click on the orange "Click to expand" link for the photo he saved. Tan-colored front spare carrier, black-painted lower sills and black repainted camper stripes, definitely a rig I have not seen before.

Re: Chalet
I hadn't seen this one before either. I don't track them like you do, but I check them out when they show up here. I tried to look at the rest of their photo album to see if i could snag one of the interior pics but the album is private. There were more pics like this one, whoever owned it used it like it was meant to be.

Re: Chalet
Yep, drives me nuts to see these as either overpriced flipped vehicles traveling from one classic car dealer to another, or out rotting away neglected in some field. This is exactly what I wanted to do with mine for my yearly Colorado vacations, but my former Chalet #1747 still needed more work before it could be a reliable daily driver, and then there was the summer of gas prices being around $4.60, which would have bankrupted me 3/4s of the way from Phoenix to my favorite area around Ouray.

Re-listed as of 6/1 https://westslope.craigslist.org/cto/5614693655.html
Snagged all the pics for my files this time, sent the seller an email about the serial # and build date for it.

http://stgeorge.craigslist.org/cto/5566042943.html Not mine... Been 'upgraded' with 3/4 ton axles Any of you Chalet/Casa Grande people remove the shell? I'd love to know the right way of doing it. (NOT selling, but need to separate to do repairs)

Re: Chalet
Indeed he does. Russ is a friend of mine and he takes care of my yahoo owners forum for me. Just thought putting out a general looking for might help.

Re: Chalet
No reply yet from the Pagosa Springs Chalet seller on what the serial # & build date for his camper is.
Quote:
Lyle, I think I emailed you on the bolts to remove on the camper units, but if not, one of our forum members mentioned how many there were in his post here at this other forum, post #145: "6 bolts in the back of the cab, 5 on each bedrail, 2 on each rear seat" Yep, that's THE Doug, Yahoo Autos Groups Chalet forum site owner, and basically the co-creator of the blazerchalet.com site which I'm the current caretaker of (just re-upped the Go-Daddy site registration of it, Doug). I have the good fortune to work at home (sort of), but I'm running way behind on updating our forum's 'for sale' list. Regretably, there is a bit of a drought going on for orphaned shells-only which Doug needs, and I haven't seen any recent 4Wheel / Hallmark aftermarket slide-in pop ups for Blazers, either.

When I was entering details about this 'new' one in my spreadsheet, I checked to see if I had anything about the 'porch light' by the rear door, which led me to other distinctive items on this one - the padlock latch for the rear door, the small steps under the cab doors, the big antenna at the left rear (barely seen in the photo below) and that carrier thing on the back.

Re: Chalet #0716
This one - from post #1 - has been relisted recently with a usable price cut.
