Air bag bracket question.

I got my kit from azproperformance the other day. I started going through everything and found these brackets for the rear. They seem a little thick. As the cup part would provide an extra couple inches of lift. Can I cut them down or not use them?

Re: Air bag bracket question.

Those mount to the top of the bag and allow the bag fitting to clear without drilling a big hole in the frame. You can drill 2 mounting holes and 1 large bag fitting hole in the frame and mount the bag directly to the frame. Completely up to you in terms of how much work you want to do and how low you want to be.

Thank you. I figured there would be a reason, I just didn't know what it was. I knew azproperformance wouldn't sell crap. This is the first bag job I've done.
