Got a 454 is it worth the troble to swap

My father has a 454 he's wanting to get rid of, he's had it for a few months and can't seem to get rid of it, he got for his 95 3/4 pickup and ended up selling the truck. He said i could have it if i wanted it.

Just not sure if it would be worth it to swap into my 84 C/10

put it in its worth it if you like power. even if you had a hot 383 i would do it. nothing runs like a bigblock chevy.

If you gotta big block you arent worried about gas mileage. If you are worried about gas mileage you dont need a big block. Figure about 10 mpg stock. But that is to the floor or hauling a house. lol
