Three on the Tree Problem
I have a 1970 Chevy C10 6 Cylinder 250 engine. I have always had a problem with the shift hanging up between second and third gear. I have even replaced the shift tube but it still continues to hang up. Has anyone out there had a similar issues? If so any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks in advance.

Re: Three on the Tree Problem
Have you replaced the shift linkage bushings ? Realigned neutral ? Checked gear lube in trans ?

Re: Three on the Tree Problem
I know this is not the proper way to fix your problem but years ago a friend showed it to me and it worked. Take a pair vise-grips and where the rods hook to the linkages that come out the tube, squeeze the two linkages together that the rods connect to with the vise-grips. I know it sounds like a jerry-rig fix but it worked for me.
