Sanden Type compressor Pulley Help needed

I currently have a Old air kit in my 1968 suburban. The compressor has a 2 grove v belt pulley. I need to change it out to a serpentine belt type pulley and clutch.

Does anyone know a stock vehicle application for a Sanden serpentine pulley ?

I am in the process of installing a 6.0/4l80 and really don't want to open the system and change the compressor.

Thanks, Mario

Our Mack tractors at work have them. Lol! Probably won't find them in a pick n pull.... I've seen them on some older jeeps there though.

2006 CXN is the Mack, but a 97-01 grand Cherokee compressor would be easier to come by I would think.

Re: Sanden Type compressor Pulley Help needed

I never thought too look at out old 1996 4.0 jeep grand cherokee... I might get luck there

I looked at it sure looks like a sanden compressor. It was too dark to count the groves in the pulley.

Re: Sanden Type compressor Pulley Help needed

I had to do the same thing, I ordered the new clutch/pulley from Summit Racing and just swapped the pulley. I searched and searched and searched for just the pulley but didn't have any luck. It took all of 5 minutes to change it out.

Re: Sanden Type compressor Pulley Help needed

well the 1996 jeep grand Cherokee is not the sanden type compressor. Still on the hunt for a factory pulley. If I was american summit would be a no brainier, but being in Canada it would cost me nearly double

1982-1990 Cherokee 4.0 uses a 6 rib Sanden compressor. It's what I used on an Lt1 swapped Volvo I built.
