Tailgate patch panels?
Fleetside. Seems like these things are always rusted at the very bottom or maybe damaged at the top. Does anyone make simple patch pieces?

Re: Tailgate patch panels?
I made my own inner & outer lower pieces out of 14ga metal- you will need a break to do this.

Re: Tailgate patch panels?
I just installed them about 3 weeks ago. If you look at the bottom of your gate you will see how the outer overlaps the inner- I stood the gate on its end & traced around it. I then cut out my template & bent the pieces to match- coming up about 4" on each side (I could hide the outer seam under my Cheyenne band). Will try to get pics of the finished product

Re: Tailgate patch panels?
There used to be lower inner and outer tailgate patch panels out there. I seem to have deleted my bookmarks after I bought a whole tailgate, but I found them when I was considering repairing mine. You might search google or ebay for "lower inner tailgate patch" and "lower outer tailgate patch" and see if you can't find them still.

Re: Tailgate patch panels?
Hope this shows what I did- you can see that the new metal is thicker than the original. The rest of the gate was in good condition- the bottom was just rotted out. Looks good enough for a work truck. The black plastic thing is my inner tailgate liner- it doesn't always lay flat on hot days
