Project Squaredance
So the story starts by me finding this what I thought was a nice find. It appeared to be all original with only wheels and a drop added. The truck was in Tenn. so unless I was going to fly up I would have to take a chance and buy it sight unseen. And that's exactly what I did. What I though was going to be a blank canvass turned out had several paintings underneath. But what I got was a box of chocolates. My plans were to just strip the old 350 out and shove my 502 in it and have an awesome street beast. When it arrived It went form a quick 10k investment into a truck with a 50k build. So off we go down to the frame.

Re: Project Squaredance
As the days have past so has the status of Squaredance. Slowly nut by nut and bolt by bolt she is coming apart and sold off piece by piece.

Re: Project Squaredance
Besides the paint what else was wrong? Seems like a decent truck to start with?

Re: Project Squaredance
Well There was a big hole cut in the rear of the cab where the main body bolt was probably stripped and had to be cut out. The trans cooler was held to the core support via c clamps. Roughly about fifty to sixty small items that seriously took it away form a patina truck. I wanted it and expected it to be original paint. I expected it to be a 100% factory truck minus suspension and wheels. The seller is a good man and just not certain if the original owner just didn't disclose all the things I found wrong. I paid top dollar for the truck and just didn't feel I got top truck. Nonetheless its the chance we all take buying sight unseen so I accepted it and have no bad feeling towards the seller. I should have purchased a plane ticket and went and looked at it first hand.
