'63 STOLEN from LODI, CA
A good friend of mine had this stolen right off his front lawn on 8/21/16 in Lodi, Ca. It used to be a nice town, but now, not so much.

Re: '63 STOLEN from LODI, CA
Thanks Bro, the interior is red and black, with a stock automatic column and a vintage power steering type steering wheel that just got painted white.

That's stupid! I hope whoever finds the thieves will beat the sh** out of them with a base ball bat. If somehow they happen to pop up here that's the 1st thing I'll be doing.

Re: '63 STOLEN from LODI, CA
Literally, everyone interested in this era truck is looking for one like that, so you potentially have lots of help here finding it! That said, one can assume it no longer looks the same. What other identifying features would be easy to spot? What engine, trans, mods, etc.?

Re: '63 STOLEN from LODI, CA
It has white faced Dolphin guages in an aluminum insert for the dash,. The drive train is a sbc w/ the usual dress up goodies, a chromed and relocated alternator, and a TH 350 trans. The Optima battery was relocated to the frame under the bed. The dash had been mauled back in the day for "pull out deck" and we had a filler panel cut and placed with magnets until we could get it welded in. The cab floor is covered in the rubber mat sold by LMC. The stock bench is seat done in black tweed with matching visors. It also has the more modern looking domelight cover sold by LMC. Also, the steering column is still wearing the factory fawn colored paint and the gas tank is under the bed. It also has an original "Barden type bumper" The owner is sick about it. It was his prized possession. One other thing is it has the 5 lug disc conversion, but no booster. We just went with a chromed aluminum m.c.

Re: '63 STOLEN from LODI, CA
The truck had no audio system, no billet, no air ride, nothing that the average tweeker would be able to readily fence, so it must have been the truck itself that was the target.

I will keep an eye out here in North Central Arizona. Sorry to here about this. If they find out who took it, maybe he/she should "accidentally" get run over by it!

Re: '63 STOLEN from LODI, CA
Thanks, for all the support. Still no sign of it. An elderly disabled neighbor lady (non-English speaker) reported thru her Grandson that she saw two men pushing it off down the street the night it disappeared. All the thieving around here has me rethinking the way I use my own truck. I may avoid showing it in local shows and certainly be more inclined to keep my hood closed. I'm also considering some added security measures both for my truck and around the house. The next step for my buddy is to find out if the classic policy he had with the insurance company will actually pay the claim without hassle.
