Truck background information

I'm wondering if anyone knows of where we can enter our VIN or other related ID info, and find out where the truck was made, what the original body color is, etc. It would be interesting.

Re: Truck background information

Sometimes you can track down where the truck was originally registered and get copies of the old state documentation. I have that info for my truck which came out of Nebraska. It belonged to a farm equipment dealer which probably explains why the bed was so beat up.
