Hello everyone. I just purchased a 72 gmc 1/2 ton LWB 2WD.
It was originally a 350/4bbl automatic.
My questions are:
1.would the original transmission been a 350 or 400?

2.Also, it obviously has a 2 piece shaft but mine has a greasible slip yoke and what looks like a HD center bearing. Is it because I have rear leaf springs?

3. I'm looking at purchasing a brand new assembled driveshaft from a friend. It doesn't have the greasible slip yoke. Would his driveshaft work on mine?
I'm trying to learn more about these trucks.
