Correct Reproduction 78-80 Brushed Aluminum Dash Strip
I have come up with a way to correctly reproduce this very hard to find and expensive when you do find a NOS one, A/C passenger side dash strip for 78-80 Chevy & GMC trucks. I have attached some pictures for you to see how nice these have turned out. I would also like to get some feedback from you to see if there is a demand for these and what you think would be a fair price for this item. Incorrect versions sell for between $65-$85 while NOS versions go for close to $1000 on ebay. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks !

I think they look pretty nice! The other issue when finding a good used one suitable for restoration is taking them off the dash without breaking the damn studs off!

Thanks guys ! I don't know of any way to restore these as I searched high & low for a way to do just that. Then the cost for these in NOS is just WOW !
I am a stickler for attention to detail and don't feel that I'm alone on that. That's why I decided to come up with a way reproduce these and hopefully be able to sell them for a fair price.

Those look incredible-do the back have the proper plastic support webbing and stand offs too?
I've got prototypes of the brushed Silverado inserts for 81-up but in stainless.....I am working on a way to make the 75?-80 door panel inserts from brushed stainless as well....mainly for my own builds since I'm not sure about the licensing on it all..... |

Yes, the backing & standoffs are very close to the same. I am also working on other detailed oriented things as well for our trucks that know one seems to make. This is just the first thing that I have completed and was wandering if you guys thought the demand was there.
