Small tach
I am thinking of adding a tach to my truck but do not want one on the dash or the column. Has anybody ever found one that will fit in one of the small holes in the cluster? Any other ideas?
Thanks

Re: Small tach
Auto Meter makes one #2698. Bought one, fits in the cluster. Going to put it in the clock spot where there is no clock.

Re: Small tach
I saw someone mention this is another thread. It looks like what I am interested in. It mounts where the big fuel gauge goes.

Re: Small tach
Here's my install story for the combo gauge.
Note that they have a version with the old typeface if that's what you need. You have to ask for it. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=629131

Re: Small tach
How hard was it to install? Did you just slide it in? Do you clamp it from the back side? Or does the bezel hold it in?

The glass from the tach sits flush with the outermost gauge bezel and looks nice. Just a lot of trial and error to get it all looking good and mounted securely. I may have more pictures at home....

Re: Small tach
Some more close up shots....
It is just slightly off center so that when you view it from the drive's head position, the whole gauge is visible and looks centered at that vantage point.
