Lifted 89 Sub 4x4 wheel question
Hello, everyone! I have an 89 V1500 Burb. I have another thread open on options for a lift kit, but right now, I want to make sure I'm on the right track with my wheel/tire options.
While out playing around in the family junkyard yesterday, I came across a really nice set of aluminum 5.5/6 lug, 15x8 wheels. I measured the backspacing on the wheels and it looks to be 3.5 inches from the mounting pad to the outer lip of the rim on the backside. So, I would like to run 35/12.5/15 tires with a 6 inch suspension lift. Will a 15x8 wheel with a 3.5 backspace be ok for this application? Anyone here currently have, or seen in the past a setup like this? Not super concerned about looks (though I think that small of a BS will have the whole operation sticking out quite a ways...), just want to make sure it should clear and not decimate my front end. Thanks!

Re: Lifted 89 Sub 4x4 wheel question
It'll work. I have 33/12.50's on rims with 3.5" backspacing on my 85. I can't tell the difference between these and 4" backspacing wheels.
