1962 Chevy C10 Sticky Throttle
I've been playing around with my new carb and the only issue is the throttle sticks. After some Google searching it looks like I am missing a throttle return spring. Anyone have a picture of it on a 235 inline 6?
Here is a video I shot of the issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-YxwCE4_a8 |

Oh and for those wondering, I ordered a new air filter. The oil bath fell off for the last time and I've had it! LOL. The new carb doesn't have a tall enough lip on top to adequately hold the oil bath.

It looks upside down. Plus the rod goes between the manifold and the block.

Ok I finally got a chance to play around with this today. I changed my bracket to match yours, but now the throttle cable at the carb has a huge gap. As I push the cable back to close the gap, it hits the cab wall.

Note: looking really close online at some images have that bracket turned the opposite way. Good grief. Who has the right answer?!?

Re: 1962 Chevy C10 Sticky Throttle
Mine is the way it was when I took it off the engine. It was straight out of the barn. The linkage went up between the intake and exhaust not on the outside. I also did look on line like you did and seen it both ways. Who knows mine might be wrong. You might have to re bend the linkage at the carb to get it to line up right. When I put the duel carbs on I had to bend the linkage rod a little to get it to work. I hope you get it going!
