Rim choice

Trust me when I tell you I am Ballin on a budget or building on the budget nevertheless I'm on a budget. If you had a choice between these rims which one would you go with I know in the end it's my choice but a little help won't hurt anyone...
I wanted those three or four thousand dollars billet wheels but I can't get those... so opted for the ones you see in the pics which I can get for under 2 Grand

Not those 2. Those would not compliment your truck.

Re: Rim choice

If you want a 5 spoke that's affordable just get a set of Boss 338s or American racing torque thrust.

Re: Rim choice

Also think about backspacing on any wheels you are looking at. Especially since you mentioned bagging the front of your truck in your other thread.

I'd look into something along these lines.

As much as I am tired of looking at Boss 338's (and I have a set on my OBS ), they are a cheap wheel with good looks and offer backspacings that will work on lowered stuff.

Re: Rim choice

A set of 20's in chrome or gray center and machined lip for just under or just barely over 1 grand. And as classic of a look as you will find for these trucks. Tires would be easy. Search these wheels and you will find fronts and rears.
Frank

$820 for 20x9.5 and 20x8 Gray/machined
$1130 for same sizes in chrome.

Re: Rim choice

both those wheels look like they belong on an import not a classic truck IMO...my buddy was on a budget also so I found him these Ridler 695 18s and 20s with nitto tires for under $1,900 for his 65 Impala..

Yes i seen those and am really comptomplating getting then i just wish the came in a brushed aluminum face.... i know if i got them i can tape off the lip and take a maroon scotch pad and create the look but I'd rather have it done already

Re: Rim choice

In those first pictures you posted a 5 lug wheel AND a 6 lug wheel. Which do you need?

What size are you looking for?

Here is a similar wheel to the first pictures in a 18" X 9.5 wheel size for less than $105 a wheel (not billet though).

I have the bottom ones as well and the only thing I don't like is the lip of the wheel. Even at the same offset as my Eagle 225s they aren't as deep.

Re: Rim choice

I agree with you but to get a deep lip and a good lookin wheel you need deep pockets unless you got the hook up.....

Re: Rim choice

I don't know if I should feel good or bad that I bought Pro Comp wheels off Amazon for $104 per wheel. I think I feel good, because I was on a budget as well.
