64 horn install
ok so it has been a while, I installed my new turn signal kit, and now it has been so long, I do not remember how the parts for the horn should go, any one here have pictures of their 63-66 chevy, to show me how to put it back together, thanks

Iron,
I just did my '61 yesterday, and I think it's probably the same, since they used the mechanism until the '70s. There's a button that goes through the steering wheel, and that has the springy side UP. After the wheel goes on, the flower-spring goes on with the cone facing away from you (the center is raised). Then the cup with the 3 screws holding it in place. Make sure after the cup is installed that you can feel the spring pop back and forth when you push on it. I looked for pictures of '64 parts and I couldn't find any, so if your setup isn't the same, I apologize. B |

cool now I remember how it goes, I am missing the little silver part that contacts the horn button, will go on line and get one, thanks for all the help

ON yours it is a brass thingy not silver as in the VIDEO that wheel is newer than ours ...Just the same basics on the horn button
