WTB OEM Axles for my 72 CST Blazer

Hi Everyone

I have a 72 CST that had 3/4 and 1 ton axles when I bought it. That combination (I was told) made it impossible to get to a 3.07 gear ratio. So, I'm looking either for rebuildable complete axles, or some input on where I can buy them already rebuilt from a vendor.

I'm in So. Cal. and it would be nice to find something local. Does anyone know of a vendor or individual who traffics in what I need? I plan on doing the install myself but cannot find the right axles anywhere. Complete axles hub to hub would be my preference... I understand I'm looking for a Dana 44 and a 10 or 12 bolt Corporate (I can never remember which).

I have a really nice rear Blazer bumper I'm willing to trade for information leading to the arrest and conviction of said axles and I'll pay for the ride.

Have a Wonderful Evening Everyone!

I'd send a PM to member bL.A.zer90045

The 72 Dana 44 axle is the only one of the open knuckle 44s for 69-72 GM 4wds that had a steering stabilizer bracket welded in place (in fact 72 was first year front axle so equipped from the factory). Might as well get a front axle correct for 72.

I have a set out of a 72 blazer I parted but i imagine shipping would kill it since I am in MD. I am asking $500 plus ride for complete pair.

I have a pair of complete axles pulled from a 72 Blazer. $400 for the pair. I'm up north of Sacramento.

That sounds promising. I'm in a place called Big Bear Lake about 100 miles southeast of L.A. What's the chance that for some extra $ you might meet me with them in say, Fresno? Google maps says I'm 300 miles from Fresno.

Are they rebuildable? Do you know if they have a 3.07 gear ratio?
