1963 Suburban CarryAll - Do you have REVERSE Lights?

Hi,
I am confused as some of the '63's I see have the clear reverse lights, where others do not.
What is correct?

Porsche,

I'm not sure when reverse lights became mandatory for trucks. I know my '61 has big lights mounted on the rear bumper which are controlled by a manual switch and operate as reverse lights. These were a dealer add-on.

Are these the lights to which you refer?

I'm pretty sure they were an accessory at that time.

If memory serves, reverse lights were not standard until 66. Prior to that they were either a dealer addition or aftermarket add-on. So with a 63 either way would be correct.

They became standard on GM trucks in 1966
