Sagging hood with new hinges and springs.
I am redoing a '64 and ordered brand new hood hinges and springs from LMC or Brothers (can't remember which) and the hood totally sags like the springs are too long. I assume the same manufacturer makes these hinges for all the suppliers. Anybody else experienced this?

Re: Sagging hood with new hinges and springs.
I bought new hinges and springs probably 3yrs ago and they wouldn't hold up my 61 hood. It would sag down to about 1' or 1 1/2' from being closed. Bought a set of new springs about 6mo ago and they hold up the hood just fine. Can't remember who i bought the new ones from. Will look through my recites, might still have it.

I appreciate that! I just looked through my receipts and it was LMC. I figured they would all be made by the same company but maybe not. I am going to call them tomorrow. Thank you.......
