Any style that's not '67-72.

I have seen several truck that look nice with the 88 and newer step beds. Thought about it myself, but I do prefer the stock bed. Be nice to have a bed that didn't rust though!

If the wheel well was round... maybe. That's the biggest dislike I have about the newer beds on a 67-72.

I have seen some really nice trucks with the newer beds. I have seen some really ugly trucks with the late 70's and 80's beds. My preference is with what it came with. Just my opinion.

I prefer the '67-'72 beds, but I would take the '88-up beds if I had one gave to me. I like the idea of a steel floor, no rotten boards and no rusted out floors!!

I just don't like the way the body lines work out. Way too much work to make it look right.

I'd rather roll with bare frame rails out back than to dishonor a classic truck with a non-matching bed.
(who woulda guessed, my opinion goes WITH the crowd on this one!)

I guess if I had a choice of running no box, putting a flatbed on a shorty, or using a free newer style, I'd use the newer box until I could find a stock one.

I like mine alot. Cheaper than fixin the old short wide box. Plus I like the fact, that when I'm done, I won't have a belly button truck. You know everyones got one.

Anyone got some good pics so we can make an "informed" decision. I was considering doing this because it looked like a much cheaper alternative to fixing my stock box. I think I may have found a good original style bed for mine now though.

Here is a 'good' pic of one. See how the wheel wells don't match? If it was from another angle, you'd see the bottom doesn't matcht eh cab too well either. The top of the bed seems a bit high too.
But, to each there own. I will say that for not being made for one another, it is one that can be pulled off and looks kinda OK.

As far as locating a proper step side bed, anything from 55second series up to 87 will work with your good 67 - 72 fenders. It won't be a 100% match, but pretty much no one will be able to tell.
