Suburban Third Row in a SWB
I know i've read about this before but I've sifted through a ton of searches and can't seem to find anything about it.
I picked up a donor vehicle for my 82 SWB, it's a 2005 Yukon XL, the interior matches the Almond interior in my 82, and I would like to use the seats out of it in my 82. I seem to recall hearing about using the third row seat, but everything I can find is about using the third row in the back of Blazers. Is this still what I want to use for a regular cab pickup? Yeah, I know the easy way is to measure stuff, but my wife is going to be induced in the next couple of days and for some reason she doesn't want me to run off to play with car parts Here's the third row: Here's this universal mount setup for it I found on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/00-2014-Univ...ZSvF5z&vxp=mtr Is this going to work or am i nuts?

Re: Suburban Third Row in a SWB
The third row will be too narrow for a single cab. They're designed to fit between the rear wheel wells, so likely around 48" wide, and your stock bench seat is likely around 64" wide or more.

Re: Suburban Third Row in a SWB
Congratulations mzsigler on the upcoming blessing!
A lot of people use the later front Tahoe seats or even Cadillac seats, both with the integrated seatbelts. That third row seat will be too short across. The seat bottoms may not be long enough for your bottom or lacking in thigh support. Here is a link to how the single seats would look in a 60-66. Notice that those are mounted high in a fixed position. http://www.persh.org/Pickup/Third-Row.htm I found a link where a guy used some square tubing, removed the clamping hardware, and bolted them to the factory seat stands. http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...hird+row+seats I went ahead used that idea for my 61 suburban. They slide fore and aft and I will add my own console later on.

Re: Suburban Third Row in a SWB
That's the impression that I got, thanks. Will any of the seats from a Yukon XL work?
