Any tire guys out there guess the width of my "mags"?
This truck is fairly new to me. Nothing quite like turbines in my mind. It's a chagrin 16.5" tires are rare.
Not that I need rear tires (fronts soon), but I did receive a quote for the rears at $550 each. Off road tires I guess, it's all they have. The front wheels are a little more "tamed", because the wheels are thinner and you can locate tires. I wouldn't mind the same size wheels on the rear, if I can find them. Anyway, does anyone know the width of these wheels giving you the tire size? Appreciate any input. I'm not aware of many wheel options for 8-lug 3/4 ton. This truck is just a driver. Thank you. Front Tires: 9.50R16.5LT Rear Tires: 33 x 12.50 R16.5 LT Edit: With more research, I believe the rears are 9.75". There are a few available on Ebay, and according to Summit, the smallest tire available for a 9.75 x 16.5 is what's on there now, 33x12.5x16.5. Cheaper than $550 too. Still don't know the fronts.

8.25 from the angle is what my guess is. The other common was 9.75

Thanks geunther, I think you're right. I don't see any 8.25" available. More than a few 9.75".

Yes, you have 8.25s on the front and 9.75s on the rear and both 33/12.50 and 9.50 are what sizes are available. I believe Firestone makes a 9.50. Nice truck!

Thanks for the confirmation K, and the truck compliment. Yes, Firestone makes a 9.75x16.50 for the fronts. $160 each, reasonable price. As for the rears, about $300 each, for brands I've never heard of.

Re: Any tire guys out there guess the width of my "mags"?
16.5's are getting way hard to find tires for. I bought a (5) 35 12.5 16.5 BFG AT's for my Jimmy about 18 months ago because they had reduced the so much ($160 each) that I figured they were closing them out.
I bought myself 10 more years (8 now...) for my 16.5 Centerlines then most likely I will have to buy rims and ties.

Go to a shop that mounts tires and ask to use their gauge, and if you have to, tell them you want to be sure of the size before you start looking at tires.
