Drop Spring Question

Hey guys I have a 69 c10 LWB. I'm currently doing a drop on the suspension and I'm considering my options. I am doing a 3/5 drop with a 1 inch block in the rear. I was wondering since there are from what I can tell only 1 vendor (cpp) that offers a 4 inch drop spring in a heavy duty configuration. Is the ride really rough(Bouncy) with the heavy duty spring in that much of a drop. Should I just go with a normal drop spring. I do want to occasionally use the truck for towing (Jet ski's, nothing really heavy), and the occasional load from the hardware store for home improvement supplies. Those who have done the 4 inch HD spring in the rear can you chime in on how it rides? Thanks

I did 2 1/2" drop spindle in front with a 4" ece spring with a 1" block. Shaved the rear bumpstop some, no frame notch. Definitely recommend a porterbuilt pan hard rod kit, shock relocators and i use monroe sensa-trac shocks. Pull the old airstream, loaded 1,000 lbs of pavers and occasionally bottom out, but until i did all of the mods it was a little bouncy, but now love the ride.

I have not been impressed with the CPP springs. I have the HD 4" dropped one on my panel (which is what they are for) and it dropped more than 4".

I would recommend ECE if you still want to use your truck like a truck.

ECE springs for sure! 1965 c10 longbed 4" drop

Are the ECE springs true to advertise drop? I have POL 5" drop springs but my trucks still higher in the rear than the front by quite a bit..
