Line-x?
Opinions on bed protection? Yes/no? Does it hurt the value of a mostly original in good condition? Is it reversible? What about cab interior floorboards?

Re: Line-x?
If its original and you want t keep it original - I wouldn't do it as I am not sure you would be able to remove it. I will be using a Bedliner (that I purchased) that was for sale on the For Sale forum a month ago.
As far as the cab floor - I used B-Quiet. https://www.b-quiet.com/

Re: Line-x?
Line-X is tough stuff, with that being said once its applied it would be immensely difficult to remove.
Not to mention forever reversing the originality aspect. |

Re: Line-x?
if i am a buyer it would just make me wonder what the liner is hiding. if it's in great original condition (either cab or bed flooor) i would cover with something removable like carpet.

Re: Line-x?
I did some searching on this forum and found a bunch of opinions. I think that I shouldn't consider doing Line x at this point. The bed is in really good condition just some minor surface rust. I am still going to use it as a truck and daily driver. But have no real intention of using it for heavy work. I also don't get too worried about minor scratches and dents. It's a truck and will be used as such it's not for show. I think I will just take some precautions and put some care into the bed and keep it as is. Maybe a sandblaster and repaint.

Re: Line-x?
I just had my interior floor rhinoed...replacement rubber mats arent worth a crap
And carpet is too high maintenance for a truck that you actually use. I did take pics Of my rust free floors prior. Here's a pic and so far i really like it. |

Re: Line-x?
I come from the off-road world and plus I do a lot of outdoor activities and doing the protection to the cab interior always seemed to be very smart thing to do. Of course it's just the dilemma of messing with a classic.

Re: Line-x?
We Line-x'd the bedsides and top rail in our truck. The bed was pretty beat up an on top so we straightened it out as much as we could and coated it. We also wanted the bed to be useable to haul stuff. The floor of the bed on the other hand is southern yellow pine. It all depends on what you are wanting to use the truck for. We were going for fun and looks good but is also useable.
