Task Force Wheel Color and Hubcaps Question
So I've done my research and think I have the right answer, but wanted to run it by you guys. My '59 GMC 100, short bed fleetside is a BBW truck with chrome (well, mostly rust now) grille and bumpers. Is it safe to assume the truck would have been equipped with body colored wheels and chrome hubcaps? Also, would the truck have had 15" or 16" wheels? Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Task Force Wheel Color and Hubcaps Question
Take a look at the link in my signature. It lands on a TF spec manual. Scroll down to year index, select 59 truck, then look at index. There is a page on finishes and another that shows the available tires and wheels for each model.

Re: Task Force Wheel Color and Hubcaps Question
Thanks OrrieG, but the "old car manual project" link is not working. That is the link you were referring to, correct?

Re: Task Force Wheel Color and Hubcaps Question
Lots of restored or original 59 GMC pickups here. https://www.google.com/search?q=1959...sAQIHw#imgrc=_
Body color seems to be real popular with the restored brigade.

Here are the two pages I was trying to send you to. I downloaded the whole manual when I first found it, but the zip file is to large to post.

Re: Task Force Wheel Color and Hubcaps Question
FWIW the rims would have 3 hub cap clips in the Task Force trucks. Previous years had 6 hub cap clips and were narrower.

Re: Task Force Wheel Color and Hubcaps Question
Thanks for the info guys; much appreciated. Looks like it probably came with body color wheels & chrome caps. I have a set of 15"x 5", 6 clip AD wheels. The 3 clip are hard to find, as I'm sure you all know.
