battery box on my 58 fleetside

looking for a place to mount the battery on my 58 fleet don't it on firewall

You can put in under the cab in one of the drop down boxes like I did but if the truck is lowered it makes it hard to get to without jacking it up.

hello my friend. Where's your gas tank?? I moved mine to the frame and mounted my battery behind the seat. YES, I know some feel that's wrong, but that's where I mounted it. Here's a few pics.

On my 57 I put it between frame and passenger side door step. Made my own holder mounted to frame. Fit well there, it is a little hard to get to but I don't mind.
