What is this part?
Any ideas? Came in a box of 67-72 parts I just purchased

Kidding aside, how long is the cable? , That can give a roundabout to where it leads to. The head part looks dash mount. PTO maybe?

That looks like a remote adjustment cable. Turn the "dial" and pull the cable in small increments.

I'm going to guess rear seat heat/AC for a Suburban. Looks distinctly heater related, but isn't part of the normal setup, and is knob rather than level driven.

Perfect 67-68 and 69-72 steering wheels, nos trim clips, a few horn buttons, emblems, nos NL2 option fuel switch, nice 72 column, nos brake and ebrake pads, tilt shift lever, chevy console emblem, complete cargo light assembly and a few more smalls

Looks like a manual throttle cable to me also, one you could use for manual cruise control like when you are herding sheep or cattle in the pasture to keep from getting the yips on the foot throttle.

Some Step Vans used a control like that for a heater control. It would make a good hand throttle.
