Spark plug wire question cant find answer ?
I know to look under the search but i did not find the answer and hope someone can answer.
has anyone used the under header prefit set of spark plug wires. to go on top of the headers laced through taylor looms ? I know i can buy the universal and cut and crimp my own i just like the factory crimps better. I am thinking of using the Taylor wires Any helps and pics would be appreciated. |

First off let me say, nice engine, under hood, outstanding ! When I upgraded my 350 to HEI I also went with 8mm Taylor pre fit wires. Incredible workmanship but could not install them properly into the stock mounting points due to the pre fit ends.

Re: Spark plug wire question cant find answer ?
You need to stay with the universal set. The pre-cut wires that the Corvettes used are WAY too long, the front 4 cylinders would be way too long and the back 4 cylinders would be way too short to try to do what you are doing.
IF you want to run the wires underneath, the 75-81 Corvette would do the job, you'd just have to fabricate holders for the wires underneath. |

Re: Spark plug wire question cant find answer ?
Board member Bruce out of Washington State I think had the absolute end-of-story method for wiring plugs on the small block 350
Here you go - please see attached photos And it does involve a little custom tailoring and the SG Crimper die head but you cannot go too far wrong with Taylor wires and connectors in my opinion. DIY = freedom from oppression! |

Re: Spark plug wire question cant find answer ?
Thanks you all for the input. I currently have over valve cover pre fit taylor wires.
I do like the factory crimped ends on the plugs there kind of square which barely fit under headers. I ordered the universal fit taylor thundervolts or something. I just hope the plug connections aren't to big. http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/hJkAAO...D-/s-l1600.jpg |
