bad springs

How can I tell if my coil springs are bad when they are still on the truck?

Measure from the center of your wheel to the bottom of the fender, check both sides and see if their any different. There should be some measurement for good springs, I don't know what that measurement is, maybe somebody else knows it.

My truck sat unusually low in the front, and would bottom out when I went over bumps, even with new shocks. Are they giving you any trouble?

usually if ya put two people on the tailgate and it sits lower than a notched lowrider the springs are shot or if ya hear it bottoming out usually ya get 5-7 years out of springs if ya load the truck and use it like a truck

my truck levels out mostly. I don't think it has been lowered though. It just looks lower than stock height to me. My springs could be going bad though and not all the way shot yet. I know the guy who owned the truck before be really beat the hell out of it so theres alot of stuff thats almost ready to go on my truck.
