L31 timing cover hole

I have an L31 crate engine and need to plug the crank sensor hole in the timing cover. Can I use a freezeplug? I would prefer to not have to replace the timing cover.

Re: L31 timing cover hole

If you can find a freeze plug the correct size and install it without breaking the cover, that should work. I was thinking that GM makes a plug for that?
