What gives it away to me is the shift shafts in the side of the trans and the plates on the side (not toploader)......I've spent a few hours swapping them around in my convertible)...I'm told there was a toploader 3spd (same one f#rd uses) that was also used in 60's and 70's GM products, but I've never seen one, I don't know if mucie made it or rockwell or who?

I have seen the old toploaders that were in some of the Olds & Buicks......its been a while, but I think they were a Tremec trans. crazyL
