Couple of questions

1st There is a vent on the floor about in the middle of the cab that steadily blows hot air. It's like it is venting the engine compartment. Is there anyway to block/stop this?

2nd Got on it a while ago and about 3500RPM in 2nd gear my carb starts cutting out. Could it be time for a rebuild? this carb has been on this truck for about 5 years I would say. It also did this the other day. Any suggestions?

If you turn the heat off on your control panel the heat doesnt stop? There is a cable that runs from the back of the control panel to just above that vent your talking about. Lay down on the floor board and look up above that vent. You should see a little lever you can flip back and forth. That opens and closes that vent. Maybe the cable came undone there or at the controls. You can be driving and reach down and open and close it if you know where its at. Its in easy reach.

If it has A/C, the floor/vent mix door could be broken. My door was broken and it allowed air to enter the cab even when the fan was off. Annoying. Just a little plastic tab that keeps it connected to the rod. If it breaks, this may be the only symptom.
