Wheels and Tires - '65 C10 Fleetside LB

Hello!

Finally got myself a '65.

6 banger long bed fleetside, 2WD, 6 lug, drum brakes.

The original steel wheels were stolen from the previous owner before he sold it to me, and he replaced them with horrible looking detroit-steel-wheel-wannabe's with low pro tires. Gonna replace them. Here is what I'm thinking:

15x7 in front - Wheel Vintiques Rallye with 0 offset
http://www.ebay.com/itm/191425380151...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

15x10 in the rear - Wheel Vintiques Rallye with 0 offset
http://www.ebay.com/itm/191915119806...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I'm not looking for over-sized beefiness in the tires. Just a classic look. The truck will be lowered about 2" in the near future when I get the chance. Will I have any issues with fitting the either wheel in the tubs with 0 offset? What tire size would you recommend for the front and rear so that fitment isn't an issue?

Thanks in advance.

Erik

Any tire size that is wide enough to fit a 10" wheel correctly is gonna be a real tight squeeze on a lowered Fleetside.

In all fairness the smallest lowering kit for the rear that I've found for my 65 c10 LB is 3". the widest rim I would go with is 9 with 235s on it without making clearance for it. you might be able to find some aftermarket rallyes with a 16x8 front and rear for your truck.

Right on! Thanks for the responses. Looks like the 9 in there fits with almost no room to spare. That's the tight fit that I'd be looking for once the truck is lowered.

Cheers!
