72 c30 spindles - different for dually vs srw?
Hey guys. It's been a few years since I've been on the board. Just finally got another truck, so I've come back to where the experts hang out. I have a 70 c20 project truck that I'm working to get back on the road. I want to swap to discs and I have a setup from a 72 c30 with duals. I've looked and can't find a definitive answer on if the spindles are the same for a drw vs a srw. Can you guys confirm? Thanks!

The difference in the spindle is the mount for the caliper. The 1 ton has the wedges that retain the caliper where as the 3/4 ton has bolts

Ok, thanks! So if I just use or get replacements for the 1 ton calipers then they should just bolt on? I can't seem to find brake hose for those calipers. Does anyone still make them?

Can a 71-87 dually rotor be added to a 71-87 SRW spindle?
Are the bearings the same?

bearings are the same, however the later model rotors are thicker and require a different caliper

Oldchev68. If you're looking for a 1972 1 ton srw, I have one for sale in the parts board for cheep. I'd let the rolling frame go and keep the stepside box.
