Steering column.... again
Howdy, All!
I've been reading posts and three shop manuals, google searches and fiddling on my own. I'm now confused and hope this is an easy question for someone to answer. 1972 C20 automatic with a non tilt steering wheel. I'm putting things back together after someone else took it apart. I've got the steering shaft itself pulled out to fix what I think was a sagging, tired rag coupler at the steering box. I'm hoping this is why the lower bearing was not inside the shift tube at the firewall. Parts are inbound. At any rate, I figured I'd continue putting things together, make sure I have everything else. I put the gear selector/collar in, the turn signal and it's housing is put together. I don't understand how the turn signal/housing is fixed into place, and kept from turning? Am I missing parts? What I'm not seeing is how it looks with the steering wheel pushing down onto the assembly. Does that keep it fixed in place? Thanks!
