'66 sbc motor mount perches
any one here from Canada got a spare set of '63+ motor mount perches they don't need? I have found them from some fine folks in the USA but with the exchange and shipping the cost goes double to triple. I need a set for my '66 GMC upgrade to sbc 350. I have a '81 Silverado front cross member already installed but from what I can find '63 and up should work. I've heard conflicting on the I6 perches but the main stay of response says only the drivers side will work so I'm looking for a set of C-10 and or C-20 sbc perches for a '66 stock V8 or sbc upgrade. I know CPP and LMC have new after market but almost $200 USD puts it a little outta my pay grade [considering used factory run between $20 and $50 CDN] please rsvp if you have a set and we can make the arrangements to get me rolling. cheers. gettin our kiks from '60 to '66

Re: '66 sbc motor mount perches
I would look for a set of 73-87 C20 Engine mounts.

Re: '66 sbc motor mount perches
Realized my info. Would not have helped. You are talking about a GMC which I know nothing about.

So the mounts for the sbc would be the same whether he was putting it in a 63-66 Gmc or Chevy truck.

Re: '66 sbc motor mount perches
As LostMy65 said, the '73-'87 C20 or C30 brackets and mounts may be easier to find and will fit your truck quite well. If you want to stay original the '63-'66 230/250 I6 and V8 engine mount brackets as well as the '67-'72 230/250 engine mount brackets are all the same. The only I6 mount brackets that won't work are for the 292. The engine mounts themselves are the same from '63-'72 for all I6 and small blocks.
