84 core support purchase?
Are the aftermarket units decent? I guess its as much as a crap shoot as finding one at the junk yard that is in good condition? I hit up the junkyard last year and a lot of the trim pieces I found and thought I scored on ended up being china repops. So because of that , I thinking on the core support I should just get the china new piece .

Re: 84 core support purchase?
last one i had my hands on for a 88-94 body style was half the weight of the old gm rusted out one . then it fit like SH!T .
so i cant say the 73-87 would be any better . last one i needed i rebuilt it .

Re: 84 core support purchase?
thanks for the input . I have time , in no rush , so I will be on the look out for a original unit. If I have to cut and weld two together I can do that. Mine is totally tweeked. Wrecked it in a ice storm.

I would say always use factory if you can find it. The 81 and newer trucks are pretty easy to get nice core supports for. There are lots of Suburbans out there it seems!
