pancaked crossmember problem

I have recently put pockets in my lower control arms with bags, im running d2600 bags and my frame was 3 inches off the ground. So i decided to pancake my crossmember 1.5 inches to get a little lower. Well i bolted it all back together and it only dropped 1/2 inch. I know the control arms will hit before the frame but my mind is boggled as they are still an inch off the ground. Am i missing something? Im guessing with the motor and everthing in it it will drop some more. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
