Talking My First classic truck

Hey, my name is Rob.
This will be my first antique classic truck. I just bought it a few days ago, it is a 72 C10 with a 350 engine and auto trans. It needs a little work but it is a good solid truck to start with. I've been a Mopar technician for a few years and I'm very good at the new vehicles but this older stuff is new to me but I think I'll be able to figure It out with the help of my future friends on this forum.

Im not looking to restore it to brand new original condition. I want to make a good reliable vehicle I can drive everyday and use as a truck, what it was meant to be used for (nothing against people who have these vehicles as collectibles). I know it won't be easy but I think it can be done.

I'll post some pictures soon. Tell me what you guys think!

Thanks

Re: My First classic truck

So far I've added radio and speakers and have been redoing wiring. I'm going to fix the interior rust and get her ready for a fresh paint job soon. The paint on it now is plasti-dip, idk why you would do that but thats just how i bought it.

Re: My First classic truck

Welcome and hello from a fellow stepside owner! This is the BEST place to learn all about our trucks due to the vast knowledge that is shared.
BTW, there's nothing wrong with the dip, it's done often.
