Okay so the disappointing fact is that the doors are not a direct fit due to the window frames but what else is different, if anything and could a guy cut & weld the ones from a suburban to lower pick up door?

You got it.The window frame is just spot welded in a couple of spots.Other than that I think they are the same.

Contact KINGPARTS.COM he just bought 2 suburbans that he is gonna part out and they have great doors on them.

Did that exact same thing last fall. Drilled out the spotwelds and switched the window frames. It worked perfectly.
