Re: Ever se a truck with 4 front fenders?
i believe he did an ogre and shortened the bed or lengthened the wheelbase
then swapped the rear fender side to side and backwards

Re: Ever se a truck with 4 front fenders?
Might have been a long bed truck. Looks like 1955 and newer Chevy bed.

Re: Ever se a truck with 4 front fenders?
I think its a dodge bed, in one of the other pictures it looks like it has the pleats that dodge beds had.
looks like an ext cab s10 chassis with a short bed on it to me.

Creative way to hide a long box and cover wide tires without tubbing the bed.

Re: Ever se a truck with 4 front fenders?
If done right it really doesn't look that bad...makes me think of a 48 or so furd that runs around here local that has the rear fenders swapped side 4 side..he swapped in a s10 running gear of some kind and flipping the fenders kinda matched the wheelbase...it will make you scratch your head for a second or two before you realize what took place

Re: Ever se a truck with 4 front fenders?
Looks better than a couple of similar fender reverses I have seen around here. For the same reason Ogre said, bed swap or cut down bed and flip the fenders to make it work. Some guy here in town had one done that way back when I was in highschool and I used to see it running around. It was his work beater and he most likely made things work after changing boxes on it.

Re: Ever se a truck with 4 front fenders?
the late 40s studebakers always made me think the first guy on the assembly line put the fenders on backwards

Re: Ever se a truck with 4 front fenders?
in the design phase the nash metropolitan had interchangeable doors, fenders and bumpers
the right front fender could be swapped with the left rear fender doors could be swapped left to right and the bumpers were interchangeable front to rear the only feature that survive was the doors swap

Re: Ever se a truck with 4 front fenders?
A friend here in the valley did a "jailbar" ford--42-46? pickup and he had front fenders on the back. I looked at it and didn't recognize it at first and looking closely I could see where he got rid of the headlights..
This chevy looks like something he could've built- has many of his "normal"(?) traights. Get an s10 and buy almost nothing else- just stuff from the pile-o-parts. He has fun and always something Interesting. |
