Guys, I thought you would like to see these photos I took tonight. I didn't take pictures of every car - there were hundreds. Of course I took pics of every truck like ours but there were actually very few.

Still, I took some of everything tht made an impression on me. Mostly NOT more modern cars. Anyway, enough of the jibber-jabber. Pic's:

PS: I a deeply in love with the baby blue AD truck. It's perfect as far as I'm concerned.

Some detail photos of the 235 in one of the AD's. I THINK it was the black one in the first set of photos. Regardless, I was impressed with just how absolutely sanitary it was.

Stupid I guess given that my truck won't remotely have a shop truck or survivor vibe, but I want a wolf whistle because my dad had one in his AD years ago.

If no one objects, I will go ahead and post more photos even though they're OT vehicles for this forum. If a moderator objects please remove them or tell me and I'll edit them out.

As I said, they're random of various makes, eras and even countries (VW's, Ferrari, 240Z). But I liked them and wanted to "study" some of their details later so I snapped a shot.

The '69 Camaro is an example of a beautiful car that just looks wrong because of too low profile tires. Totally incorrect for the era - and yes, I know I'm out of step with current tastes.

My '55 will have 17" rims because it has to, to clear the Corvette front calipers but I stuck with 50 series sidewall tires and even those are too low for me. I'd prefer at least 60 series.

The Malibu wagon is a phantom as far as I know. They never made a two door wagon in that era, correct? It looked very well done.

I've never really been a muscle car guy - though I like them. But the big Impalas of '65, '66 & '67 are really starting to grow on me where before I'd have thought of them as big boats.

I may never get used to the giant wheel / small tire look. Even on cars built that way it doesn't look right to me.

Two door wagons were available in '65. Trivial fact: In '63 - '67 Chevelle was the model name while 300, Malibu, and Super Sport were considered the model series. Two door wagons were built as Malibus but depending on options they could have received yet another model name.

News to me, thanks. Yeah, I figured I was using the wrong model name but I figured most would recognize that model by the name Malibu.

More. The 240Z pic's were taken for a friend of mine that LOVES them. I like them too, had a couple 260's back in the late 70's and they were fun. This one as a Skyline GT engine which is pretty amazing I think. I doubt those engines are very readily available. Anyway, pic's.

This Cadillac had thee Presidential seal on it. The Caddy looks like Eisenhower would have been in it.

Love the yellow / beige Beetle beside the gold one. And the '57 Cadillac just commands respect.

Only reason to mention the naming with Chevelle / Malibu is because I find it interesting how GM would play games with model names over time. Example: In '55 the Bel Air was top of the line. By '58 the Bel Air was the base model and Impala was best. By 66 Impala was the base model and Caprice was the top model.

Oh, you like that one? Here it is alone. I didn't post it before because I thought someone might be offended by the graphic. But the picture is kind of odd. Obviously they wanted to show a topless voluptuous woman and did. But they gave her no nipples. Whatever. Enjoy.

The Caddy convertible was to-die-for-perfect. Anyone know what year and model it is?

The black paint job on the Corvette was the best I've ever seen. I'm sure there must be better ones but its hard to imagine.

I love the air cooled VW's, had a lot of connections with these cars years ago. I had one and never finished it, I love the Beetles, but dig all of them really. The photo below is one that I chopped. I started this chop at 8 am and had it in primer around 6 pm that night, no kidding!

That bug does look nice. Although strange to leave such an important detail out. The 23 window bus is nice, too. Folks who have never looked would be floored at what they sell for. Certainly couldn't trade most restored TF's for a restored 23 window.

The Caddy is a '48 Fleetwood. Another beauty not usually appreciated by folks that don't remember when a fullsize car came with its own zip code.

They did make a 64-65 Chevelle 2-door wagon. 300 series only, not Malibu. Under 5000 were made total both years,
