Keyless entry 59 Apache
I see kits to install keyless entry on a 58 but they seem to be for trucks with lock knobs that pull up and push down not like my truck that you just push the inner door handle down to lock the door. Am I missing something. Just finished my truck and had to designed my own remote locking system. Just curious how they can say they are for a 59 if they don't work.

Re: Keyless entry 59 Apache
yep, thats a problem all the way to 67. I had a 65 once that I bought 67 door latches and handle assemblies that would have worked to put lock rods in the door but the truth is that the original setup with the door handle locks arent compatible with any keyless setup.
the guy who bought my truck was sad when it was stolen, thankfully I left passlock intact on the donor harness and he found the truck a block away. his solution for locking the doors after that was installing deadbolts in the door jambs that move in and out via actuators, making the door handles moot.

That was my solution as well and it turned out to be a nice system.
