Engine identification
Hey guys I need a little help. I've been trying to find out what I have before I sell it and i must be looking something up wrong.
Came out of a 1950 chevy 3100. Was at least two previous owners "project". The parts attached to the engine appear to be roughly correct for the truck. But you might want to use this reference to locate your engine block casting number and determine which engine you have.

Ok i found a couple more numbers. Looks like a Dec 1958 block, June 1958 head. 235 engine. It's been sitting. At the very least is probably needs to be checked through and new gaskets right?
I'm not sure what to do with it. I've got a new 350 v8 so I'm gonna use that instead. Are these 235s a popular motor I could sell? |
