Park brake spring 65 longbed?
Just wondering if the long bed had 2 spring extentions or do I just hook a come-a-long to it. That thing is more than I can pull. With a new spring and extention it is only half way between the trans x-member and the trailing arm x-member. That thing is stout!!!
Thanks, Brad |

One spring, one extension. I'll try links since photobucket sucks.

Re: Park brake spring 65 longbed?
Thanks jayoldschool, but you have a short bed it looks like, my rear cab brackets are on the engine side of the trailing arm x-member. So, I have about 10" more to pull the spring back to get it hooked in the x-member.

Re: Park brake spring 65 longbed?
Those aren't my truck, they are the pics I used to put my spring and my rod on my 65 long bed. Maybe you have short bed hardware? My stuff fit and works perfect. I got it off a 63 long bed.
I can crawl under and take a pic if you like, but the hardware looks just like the pics above. |

Re: Park brake spring 65 longbed?
Mine looks just like the pic, I ordered the spring and extension from Classic Parts. They only offered one of each. If you could measure your spring and extension that would be great.
Thanks, Brad |
