automatic floor shifter
looking to buy a floorshifter in few days. Wondering if anyone has any words of wisdom concerning what to buy. BM and Lokar seems to be the two to choose from. I have bucket seats, TH350 trans. If anyone has any good or bad experiences, pleas let me know.

Re: automatic floor shifter
I've had very good results with Lokar floor shifters. They have the front to rear adjustability, choice of stem lengths, and knobs. You won't be disappointed

Re: automatic floor shifter
I personally bought my truck with a B&M auto shifter installed. It is cable operated and works fine, but I'm not fond of the elongated rectangular bass. I plan on upgrading to a lokar when I get the chance - another cable shifter. The reason for that style for me is that I can mount it to the trans tunnel and not the transmission itself - hopefully avoiding vibration from the transmission.

Re: automatic floor shifter
I had the B&M for several years but never liked not having the lights and overdrive showing so I went to a LKQ yard and bought a S10 floor shifter. Hooked it up with the B&M cable and very happy. 5 years with no problems and it has other benifits also.
It has the electric solenoid in it so you have to step on the brake pedal to put it in gear in the s10. I hooked it to a hidden switch that I can shut it off and even if you get the truck cranked it ant going no where without crawling under it but with it lowered have fun reaching it. The red switch was for the 700-r4 convertor but it has 4l80e installed now. It shows O/D and lights at night.

Re: automatic floor shifter
Yes! I had to cut the front plastic off some but the box I made covers it pretty good.
